Marcia Nelson is a role model many can follow with continued success as a teacher; on the trail, in competition, and in partnership with a horse. She encourages a partnership with the horse that is exemplary. She teaches the rider how to understand the mechanics of riding. Her extensive training allows her to help her students ride in a way that is kind and effective with the horse.
One aspect of Marcia's work is as a Competitive Trail Coach of which she and her students have numerous awards and achievements in association with NATRC (North American Trail Ride Conference) which sanctions rides in its six regions ranging from Hawaii to Maine and from Canada to Mexico. www.natrc.org

Youth Horse Camps 1 - 4 $375 per week
Camp 1 Jun 22-26, Camp 3 Jul 20-Jul 24, Camp 4 Aug 3-7
Reserved for Homeschool Kids: Camp 2 Jul 13-17, Camp 5 Aug 17-21
Ages 8-13
Horse Camps 1-4: M-F 8am-12:30pm
Arts & Crafts Camps 1-4 12:30-3pm $125

Annie DeFeyter and Diamond: Dbl 1st places in Region 2 Juniors!! Wow 2 yrs in the top ribbons and Diamond 4 yrs in the top ribbons and only one eyed at that!
Erin Carmean and Tango: Dbl 2nds in Region 2 Juniors! Your first yr competing and Tango's 2nd in the first category!

Horses are as unique and diversivied as the individuals they are working with.
They reflect our emotions and actions as if looking in a mirror.
Horses react to current experiences based on past experiences.
A familiar feel, look, sound or taste from thier past will create a reaction in the current.
That reaction will be negative or positive based on whether that previous sensual memory was good or bad from their point of view.
This can play a key role in understanding the horse and how to help them understand and cope in our human world. |
